The two lists are extractions of two databases.
The list of the Kreis Olpe is based on the publications of Norbert Scheele in the "Heimatstimmen aus dem Kreise Olpe" (1948-53), with only few modificatons and supplements.
The list of the Kreis Meschede is so far only published on the internet. It is based upon the files of the Landratsamt Meschede in the Staatsarchiv Münster, plus data taken from different local chronicles, the private genealogical databank of K.J. Lauber, church registers, family chronicles, infos from researchers all over Northern America, and last but not least personal mentionings in letters from America to the Sauerland.
