My hobbies are running, skiing and emigration-research. I like to travel very much, especially to places where there is wilderness and where hardly any humans cross my way.
The research on the emigrants of my home area began with a bunch of letters I was given about two years ago. The series of letters was so fascinating, that I began to look for more information and soon I got in touch with Bill Kamradt, Indianapolis, IN who provided so many information on his wife`s ancestors from the Sauerland in Detroit that I couldn´t help it. Also K.-J. Lauber with his regional family-databank was a great help from the beginning.
My ancestors are from the Siegerland, Sauerland, and Münsterland. To give you an idea who I am, and what I am here are my 16 greatgreatgrandparents:
1. Johannes Baptist Stötzel, Nenkersdorf, Siegerland 2. Catharina Steiner, Eiserfeld, Siegerland 3. Caspar Ferdinand Peitz, Eslohe, Sauerland 4. Maria Anna Eickhoff, Eslohe, Sauerland 5. Franz Egon Böhmer, Eslohe, Sauerland 6. Maria Elisabeth Dünnebacke, Niedermarpe, Sauerland 7. Bernhard Bunne, Oelde, Münsterland 8. Theresia Elisabeth Westhoff, Ostenfelde, Münsterland 9.
